Tired after a day of work? Do you need relaxation? The city of Łowicz is one of the oldest in Poland. In the early Middle Ages a wooden defensive Castle was located here, guarding the crossing by the swampy Valley of the Bzura. Over the years, bulkheads came and created a settlement where market Dukes of Masovia were dispatched on the wildlife of the surrounding forests. The nature of the settlement and the word “hunt” is derived from the name of the town: Łowicz. The oldest mention of Łowicz comes from the Bull of Pope Innocent II from July 7, 1136.
